[Textiles] Commonly known as Blackland hemp, this hemp is native to China's Heilongjiang Province and is characterized by its strong grayish color. While hemp tends to create a more natural, cozy look, Blackland is ideal for expressing a modern, Euro-vintage feel, often resulting in a deadstock fabric-like finish, making it a material often featured in AUBERGE. For this project, the yarn was extracted using the traditional hemp spinning method and rope-dyed in a vintage green indigo, the riskiest color for Sakamoto Denim in Japan. Although this is a century-old manufacturing method, every step of the process—spinning, dyeing, and weaving—was deemed too risky, making it a deadstock fabric that can no longer be produced.
【design】 This pair is also based on the design of UK Fabrum's Indigo Work Slacks. The silhouette is a wide baggy style similar to AUBERGE's 41 Chino, and the bold fabric makes it a striking pair. It has been washed in Toyowa, Okayama with a super-realistic wash.
